Ceremonies are an important part of all cultures. Weddings and funerals are the most common, but the birth of a child, blessing of a home, reflection after divorce, birthday milestone and renewal of vows are also ways we use ceremonies to mark events in our lives. The list is endless.
I have 35 years experience as a lay leader in the Christian church and this experience allows me to feel quite relaxed when conducting any ceremony. I have been a marriage celebrant
for 11 years and have conducted over 160 weddings in that time, as well as funerals, naming ceremonies and renewals of vows.
I hope you'll find in me someone you can trust for this part of your day; someone who can bring to the ceremony a balance of the formality necessary and the informality that allows you and your guests to feel relaxed.
“A huge thank you for all you did. You ensured the ceremony went smoothly and you kept both us and the bridal party at ease. We really appreciate how awesome you are!”
“Thank you, the ceremony was just perfect and our guests loved how relaxed , natural and 'us' the service was. You have a real gift for making people feel at ease.”
“Thank you for the way you helped us and guided us toward the service that was right for us, it meant a lot.”
“Thank you for the part you took in creating a lovely wedding day, your manner made it a casual but intimate service and thanks too for making our 7 year old pageboy, Brae, feel special.”
I have four daughters, three sons-in-law, five grandsons and two granddaughters. My husband and I have lived in Hanmer for seven years after being on the family farm in Waiau for 31 years. I teach part time and we have just finished building our own straw bale home.
